Something of a shakeup for the ILCA classes at the 2026 Sailing Grand Slam series at San Pedro, with good and not so good news for the Brits.
In the ILCA 7 men, Britain’s Micky Beckett had a day to forget, after five gold fleet races completed, Beckett sits down in ninth place (7, 1, 15, -32, 21) after a run of double figure finishes.
New leader is Pavlos Kontides of Cyprus on 24 pts, second Matt Wearn AUS with 26 pts an third Finn Lynch IRL with 32 pts.
Best place GBR is now Elliot Hanson in sixth.
In the ILCA 6 women, Hannah Snellgrove of Britain (5, -16, 4, 2, 1) takes the lead after five gold fleet races, tied on 19 pts with Charlotte Rose of the USA.
Third is Eve McMshon of Ireland with 22 pts.
The 470 class have completed ten races. New leader is Britain’s Martin Wrigley and Bettine Harris with 20 pts.
Second are Simon Diesch and Anna Markfort of Germany with 26 pts. Anton Dahlberg and Lovisa Lindner of Sweden are third on 28 pts.
Britain’s Hannah Bristow and James Taylor are 6th with 35 pts.
