Three medal series concluded the mini Olympic Classes event for the ILCA 6, ILCA 7 and 470 at San Pedro OCR, host venue for the 2028 Olympic Games.
In what proved a successful event for the British Sailing Team competitors, they won two Gold and a Bronze.
Hannah Snellgrove of Britain took the Gold in the ILCA6 event with an 8 and 3 on 47 pts, Silver went to Charlotte Rose of the USA with a 4 and 1 on 49 pts. Bronze to Eve Mcmahon of Ireland with a 3 and 4, on 51 pts.
In the men’s ILCA 7, Matt Wearn of Australia came through to take the Gold with a 6 and 2 on 43 pts.
Pavlos Kontides of Cyprus took Silver with an 8 and 9 with 51 pts and Bronze went to Micky Beckett with a 7 and 1 on 52 pts.
In the mixed 470 event, Britain’s Martin Wrigley and Bettine Harris took the Gold in style with a 1 and 2 on 39 pts.
Silver went to Simon Diesch and Anna Markfort of Germany with an 8 and 7 on 52 pts, Bronze went to Anton Dahlberg and Lovisa Lindner of Sweden with a 5 and 4 on 53 pts.
Next Olympic Classes event at San Pedro is for the 49er, 49er FX and Nacra 17 classes over the 1 to 8 August 2026.
