The 2026 J/70 European Championship got under way Tuesday 21 July on the waters off the Real Club Nautico de Barcelona.
After two races, Sweden’s Lexie of John De Champs leads with 10 pts, second is the Empeiria of John Heaton USA with 13 pts and third Denizcik of Gulboy Guryel TUR on 15 pts.
Race winners were . . . race 1 went to Britain’s William Edwards helming Sardonyx, ahead of Brazil’s Renato Cunha on Tô Nessa, and third Spain’s Marcelo Baltzer skipper of Let It Be.
The second race went to Empeiria of John Heaton USA, with second Spain’s Món Cañellas and Hang Ten, while third was Brazil’s Ralph Vasconcellos Rosa and Mindset.
William Edwards and Sardonyx are best placed British entry with a 1 and 37, in 15th overall.
