Second day of racing at the Fireball Worlds at Torbay on the South coast of England and after four races completed Peter Gray and Richard Pepperdine have a 21 point lead.
Gray and Pepperdine are the only pair still in all single figure finishes 3,4,8,5, with Australia’s Heather Macfarlane and Chris Payne in second with 41 pts, and Dave Winder and Ben Rayner tied in third with Vince Horey and Tim Riley on 56 pts.
When the discard is considered the main competition looks likely from DJ Edwards and Vyv Townend in 14th with a 2,1,UFD,3 score.
And possibly Simon King and Jono Loe with DNC, 3, 3, 6 in 16th, and Georgia Booth and Oliver Davenport in 20th with 4,2,UFD,11. But of course carrying such big discard scores they have little room for more errors.
