Bouwe Bekking predicts photo finish to Leg 7 as his Team Brunel lead Dongfeng Race Team into the final hours of Leg 7 to Itajaí, Brazil.Carlo Huisman on Team Brunel -

Less than 3 nm separate the two boats on Tuesday, and with 8 miles to the finish line in Itajaí, Brazil, Bekking says they are only going to get closer.

Team AkzoNobel remain in a comfortable third place, 280 miles from the leaders but also with a massive gap of around 400 miles to fourth-placed Turn the Tide on Plastic and MAPFRE in fifth.

The two back markers are still trying to escape the clutches of the high pressure system, but are now sailing at 9 knots.

Meanwhile Team SHK/Scallywag has made landfall on the coast of Chile, while Vestas 11th Hour Racing is working through logistical options from the Falkland Islands.
