This is not the usual news link from one source e.g. a particular yachting magazine, but a selection of sailing related news, event and race reports and results culled from the best sources available on the web; Event sites, Newspapers, On-line sailing sites, etc.

The code supplied below is formatted to be dropped into your web site as an inline or floating frame <IFRAME> but you can of course reformat it to suit your own page layout.

It is sized for a width of 595 and a height of 40, this gives three lines of text - most of the news flashes are short one/two line but sometimes stretch to three at this width. The source file is stored on the sailweb server.

I prepared the news ticker service for the sailweb.co.uk web site and offer it to Sailing Club and Class Association sites as a useful source of information for your members to the multitude of sailing information sources available. It has proved a great attraction and saves members roaming the web for major sailing news.
