Toolstation has negotiated with toy-makers Corgi to produce a quality model of the RNLI’s Flood Rescue Team’s vehicle and attached inflatable with all profits going to the charity. As well as saving lives at sea, the RNLI operates a Flood Rescue Team made up of 250 specially trained volunteers and staff, all ready to respond to flooding emergencies. The Flood Rescue Team is sponsored by Toolstation and uses D class lifeboats that are easily transported and can operate in shallow, fast-flowing water. The model comprises a Land Rover Defender and RNLI D Class lifeboat.

Robin Goodlad, RNLI Flood Response Team Manager, said the charity greatly appreciated the support of Toolstation. “The Flood Rescue Team receives no official government funding for our work in this country, but calls for our services continue to grow. Since our formation in 2000, we now have 250 trained team members divided into six teams positioned around the UK to respond to flooding."
“We are very impressed with the Corgi model and its accuracy and detail, and I am sure it will sell very well indeed which will be of great benefit to the RNLI Flood Rescue Team.”
It costs £5.49 at Toolstation’s 120 retail counters across the UK and also available online at toolstation.com or it can be ordered by phone on Freephone 0808 100 7211. £1.43 will be paid in support of the RNLI for each model sold.
