Star Western Hemispheres at Biscayne Bay YC

 
The final series of the Star winter racing is taking place on Biscayne Bay, Thursday through Sunday.

Two races per day are scheduled to award the Spring Silver Star in the USA. 37 teams from seven countries are competing.

The Brazilian’s came out strong with Lars Grael / Samuel Goncalves, and Jorge Zarif / Guilherme De Almeida finishing in the top three in both races and taking a seven point lead in the series after day 1.

Grael and Goncalves won the opening race ahead of Jack Jennings / Frithjof Kleen USA, with Zarif and De Almeida third.

In the second race Zarif and De Almeida won ahead of Grael and Goncalves with Paul Cayard / Arthur Lopes third, improving on their ninth in the first race and slotting into fourth place overall.
