Contender Worlds - Aussie 1, 2, after day 1

Mark Bulka of Australia is the early leader after day 1 of the Contender World Championships in Sonderborg, Denmark.

Bulka has a two point lead after two races on Monday, sailed in a shifty westerly 11-16 knots breeze.

Simon Mussel of Britain won the first race from Bulka with another Aussie, Jason Beebe in third place.

Bulka won the second race, leading from the first mark, with Beebe in second and Volker Niediek of Germany third.

Fourth in both races, and now in third place overall is Jesper Nielsen of Denmark.

Best placed British competitor is Mussell (1,8) in fourth with Marco Ferrari (7,7) of Italy in fifth. Jan von der Bank (10,5) of Germany is sixth.
