Dave Evans and Simon Hiscocks are the 49er National Champions for 2012, taking the title at the Warsash Superyacht Academy sponsored championships, held over four days at Weston SC. For the first time the recently selected woman's Olympic 49er FX joined them for their inaugural National Championships, won by Frances Peters and Katrina Best. Twenty-seven 49ers and four FX's turned up to race in what is the best turnout in four years.
