International 505 - French Nationals

Britain's Pinnell and Davies took the French 505 Championship with 3 wins from 4 races

The light conditions meant that only four races were sailed at the French Nationals at Quiberon last weekend.

Ian Pinnell and Alex Davies (GBR 9190) scored a convincing 1,1,6,1 to take the title from an in-form Philippe Boite and Mathieu Fountaine (FRA 9175).

Michael Quirk and Reeve Dunne in third, proving that Australia has its eyes on the Gdynia Worlds.

Andy Smith is back from injury, taking sixth with Tim Needham, back in form ready for Poland.

And Tim Bird once again proved his light-airs credentials, taking 11th in the 40-boat fleet with Adam Kenney (GBR 8914).

Tom Darling and Elliot Wells (GBR 8970) were 13th, proving strength in depth for the British fleet.

Action now moves to the World Championship in Gdynia, Poland, with the pre-worlds starting on Friday 20 July.
