D-Zero National Championships - Bolland victory

 
Steve Bolland takes D-Zero UK National title with a race to spare

Steve Bolland of the Bristol Corinthian SC was winner of the D-Zero UK Nationals, held at the Mount Batten Centre, Plymouth.

Bolland finished one point ahead of Alistair Mclaughlin of Prestwick SC, with Charlie Ellse from the Restronguet SC completing the podium.

On day 3, the final day of the championship Bolland finished third behind Mclaughlin and Craig in race 7, enought to give him the title with a race to spare.

Bolland did start the final race, only to capsize and retire. Ellse took his third race win with Mclaughlin second and Richard Major third.

Breaking News: D-Zero shortlisted by World Sailing for selection of new equipment (boat) for the Olympic Men and Women One Person Dinghy.
