Melges 24 World Championship - Win for Racchelli

 
Italy's Andrea Racchelli wins race 2 of the Melges 24 Worlds in Canada

The only Italian entry, Altea of Andrea Racchelli, runner-up of the 2017 Melges 24 Worlds, managed to take the lead in the one and only race completed on the second day of racing in Victoria.

Racchelli finished race 2 ahead of USA825 War Canoe of Michael Goldfarb and Brian Porter's Full Throttle USA849.

With the scores of 2 and 3 after the first two days of racing, the America's Brian Porter the leaderboard, with a one point margin over Racchelli.

WTF USA829 by Alan Field, winner of the yesterday's race #1, follows in third, having finished sixth in race 2.

Britain's Stuart Simpson was 34th and is now placed 20th overall.

Good Enough of Matt MacGregor leads the Corinthian division (4th overall), followed by Brad Marchant's ADHD (7) and Robert Britten's Full Circle (10).
