Marseille World Cup - Day 2 Results

 
Day 2 of racing for the Olympic classes at the Marseille World Cup Final

Laser Men - A full podium for GBR after the first race Wednesday, race 3, won by Nick Thompson. He followed that with a 2nd in race 4 to take a two point overall lead.

Second overall is Lorenzo Chiavarini GBR (5,5) and then third is Stefano Peschiera PER (4,4)

Elliot Hanson GBR (3, 14) briefly topped the leaderboard, but finished the day in seventh place.

Nacra17 Mixed - After three more races, overall leaders are Ruggero Tita and Caterina Marianna Banti (6, 1,3) of Italy tied on 16 points with John Gimson and Anna Burnet GBR (4, 3, 8).

Ben Saxton and Nicola Boniface (5, 2, 4) are third, one point back, with Vittorio Bissaro and Maelle Frascari ITA (1,4,15),

RS:X Women - After three more races Wednsday, Lilian De Geus NED (4,4,5) leads by six points from Stefania Elfutina RUS (5,1,12). In third place is Hei Man H V Chan HKG (9,7,3) with Britain's Emma Wilson (11,2,1) fourth.


Radial Women - Emma Plasschaert BEL (10,2) is the new leader after two more races. Second, one point back is Mária Érdi HUN (3,1) and in third place is Britain's Alison Young (12,4) eight points back. Georgina Povall is in 10th place.

470 Women - Silvia Mas Depares and Patricia Cantero ESP won race 3. Hannah Mills and Eilidh McIntyre were 4th, but recovered in race 4 to take a second place behind Camille Lecointre and Aloise Retornaz FRA (10,1).

Overall Mills and McIntyre lead by one point from Depares and Cantero with Ai Kondo Yoshida and Miho Yoshioka JPN (6,5) in third place.

Amy Seabright and Anna Carpenter GBR (9,6) are 5th.

No British competitor in the Finn, where Jorge Zarif BRA (1,7) is tied for the lead with Josh Junior NZL (2,10) with Jonathan Lobert FRA (7,1) in third place.

470 Men - Balázs Gyapjas and Zsombor Gyapjas HUN (4,2) lead by one point from Jordi Xammar and Nicolás Rodríguez ESP (2,6). No GBR entry.
