Goodison takes 3rd Moth World Title

 
British sailor Paul Goodison won his 3rd International Moth World title after six races at the Championship in Bermuda. Interview video here . . .

A final race (R7) was attempted on Sunday but was abandoned as the wind failed again.

Goodison completes a hat-trick of Moth World Titles.

He finishes with four wins and a second place counting, discarding his race 3 DNC result after his forestay broke.

Second was Francesco Bruni of Italy and third Rome Kirby of the USA.

Along with the three Moth world championships Goodison has also won Olympic Laser Gold in 2008 and the Laser World Championship in 2009.

Andreas John (57) of Germany won the Masters’ Division. He finished 24th overall.

Bermudian Benn Smith (18) won the Youth Division. He finished 31st overall.
