The Swiss love their Star boats and the innovative Starfleet Basle opened a new saiing venue, the Totensee - Lake of Death - a reservoir lake on top of the Grimsel pass 7,100 ft above sea level.

Room is restricted and only ten boats could take part - among them Ben Sternberg and Joshua Revking of the USA - to race for the Fleet Champions' title.

Normally, a solid 3 to 5 bft wind is blowing, but Friday evening a cold front went through with snow above 6,500 ft.

A thick fog delayed the start of the first race, but two races were completed, with the finish of the second one in a thick fog.

Sternberg and Revkin USA (1,3) took the overall lead ahead of Roman Timm and Kaspar Huber SCMd and Bernhard and Sofie Seger RCO at equal points on 2nd and 3rd.

On day 2 after the fog dispelled, five more races were sailed on Lake Death, three of them won by Bernhard and Sophie Seger who take the overall title, just one point ahead of Sternberg and Revkin USA.

Martin Ingold and Dario Bischof TYC followed on third place among the 10 teams.
