Jason Bebe is 2017 Contender World Champion

The 2017 Contender World Champion is Jason Bebe from Australia with second Mark Bulka, also Australia, and third Jesper Nielsen, Denmark.

Just the one race on the final day of the 2017 Contender World Championship in Sønderborg Denmark.

The top two of the leaderboard were Beebe and Bulka, with Beebe holding an eight point lead.

The title was between the Aussie pair and covering each other they finished down the fleet with Bulka in 12th and Beebe in 22nd.

These results became their second discards, leaving the nett scores as before and Jason Bebe as the 2017 Champion.

Winner of this final race was Jan von der Bank of Germany, who finished in fourth place overall and first Master.

In fifth overall was Davide Fontana of Italy, sixth place was Marco Ferrari also Italy.

Seventh was Paul Verhallen of Holland and in eighth was best placed British competitor, Ben Holden.
