J70 World title to Catapult team

Joel Ronning and his Catapult team, with John Kostecki calling tactics and trimming the main confirmed their J70 World tiltle after the two final races in San Francisco.

Ronning went into the final day with a 20 point lead and managed it very well with a pair of 4th places to finish with a 16 point advantage over last years World Champion Julien Fernandez of Mexico.

Fernandez on Flojito y Cooperando finished with a 3, 2, to take second and Judd Smith of the USA and his Africa with a 1, 5, were third overall.

Carlo Alberini of Italy on Calvi Network won the final race to take fourth overall. Claudia Rossi also of Italy, was fifth.
