Sailing Champions League Final - Day 3

Heading the Sailing Champions League Final at the end of Saturday's battles is the team from Deutscher Touring Yacht-Club representing Germany.

Having clinched four second places and one victory they now sit six points ahead of Switzerland’s Regattaclub Bodensee in second place. Last year’s winners, the Kongelig Norsk Seilforening, are in third place on equal points with the Swiss.

The 32 competing clubs were on the water for more than eight hours completing 20 races (five for each club) in total.

Conditions were tricky, with a light breeze combining with choppy seas and currents to put the sailors’ tactical abilities and endurance to the test.

The British team from Hayling Island SC dropped back after the first three races (3,8,1,8,8) and are 27th overall. In Sunday morning's first race they finished third.
