The locked-down meeting of the Arbitration Panel set up to hear America's Cup disputes was apparently held in London in July.

Team New Zealand appealed against the removal of the qualifying series from Auckland and transfer to Bermuda next May, claiming they had a signed deal.

Team New Zealand claimed that they lost government funding that came with the Auckland regatta and other advantages to their build-up programme.

Word has now leaked from the Arbitration Panel meeting that Team New Zealand have been successful with their appeal.

But what that means in real terms is another unknown.

No-one involved in the meeting is saying officially, because they aren't allowed to.

The Cup protocol prevents anyone commenting on off-the-water disputes.

Even the make-up of the three-man Arbitration Panel is unknown!
