Demolition day at 18ft Skiff Euro GP

A building breeze and sea state reduced the 18 foot Skiff European Grand Prix fleet to five starters for day 3 at Sandbanks.

Only Pica survived all three races, winning two of the three races to take a ten point lead.

Belight (HUN) won the middle race, the only race they completed and are second overall.

In third place are CHIA who finished two of the three races.

The final race of the day proved the most challenging with gusts hitting the high twenties and the biggest waves of the day.

Quite often downwind the sea would simply open up as boats tried to maintain control in the top end conditions.

For most the conditions proved too much and only two completed the course.
