The RC-44 Fleetrace World Championship was a fight between two British teams. John Bassadone's 'Peninsula Petroleum' took the title from Chris Bake’s Team Aqua. The Swiss championships on Lake Neuchatel were contested by 20 entries from five countries, won by Jean-Marc Monnard and Philippe Jacot. And another very British class the Dart 18 catamaran held its local championships on Lake Maggiore, won by Heynisch and Monika Schroder of Switzerland.
