Lucas stormed back into the lead with two wins and also saw her nearest rivals pick-up double figure finishes which they had to discard, putting her on an equal footing. Lucas now has a nine point lead ahead of Heiko Kroeger of Germany.

In the Skud race 6 Britain's Alexandra Rickham and Niki Birrell were third behind the Australian and USA teams, the Canadians were fourth, fifth Malaysia. Tis put the British pair in second just one point off the Aussie leaders and just one point ahead of the USA crew.

Britain's John Robertson, Hannah Stodel and Stephen Thomas finished fourth in the Sonar race 5. Winner was the Dutch team of Udo Hessels, Marcel van de Veen and Mischa Ros and second the USA. In race 6 the British crew were 13th. They are now seventh overall.
