Day 7 Results from the Sailing at Weymouth

Day 7 Results from the Sailing at Weymouth - The Laser and Radial classes are doing their final races before their Medal races on Monday. Also racing Saturday are the men's and women's 470 and the RS:X.

Alison Young got a "black flag" in her Radial race 9 start and was disqualified from the start.

Women's RS:X
The day started with the women's RS:X on the Nothe spectator course and was won by Olga Maslivets of the Ukraine, second Lee-El Korzits ISR and third Marina Alabau ESP. Britain's Bryony Shaw finished seventh.

Race 2 of the women,s RS:X won by Lee-El Korzits Isreal, second Olga Maslivets UKR, third Tuuli Petäjä FIN with Shaw in 6th. Marina Alabau keeps the overall lead. Bryony Shaw is 7th overall with two races to go to the Medal race.

Laser
First race for the Laser, race 9, winner Tom Slingsby of Australia, second Javier Hernandez ESP, third Andrew Murdoch NZL - Britain's Paul Goodison 9th. Pavlos Kontides CYP finished in 7th.

Tom Slingsby makes it two wins today, second in race 10 was Rasmus Myrgren of Sweden and third again for Andrew Murdoch NZL. Goodison finished 8th and sixth overall. Slingsby takes a 14 point lead ahead of Pavlos Kontides CYP going into the Laser Medal race on Monday.

Laser Radial
Race 9 won by Lijia Xu of China, second Alicia Cebrian ESP, 3rd Annalise Murphy IRL to keep her overall lead. Alison Young GBR was DSQ by a black flag start.

Race 2 of the Radial, 1st Marit Bouwmeester NED, 2nd Lijia Xu CHN, 3rd Evi Van Acker BEL, 4th Alison Young GBR. This puts Lijia Xu of China in the overall lead for the Medal race on Monday. Alison Young is fifth overall.

Men's RS:X
Dorian Van Rijsselberge took the gun for Race 7 of the men's RS:X. Second Nick Dempsey GBR, third Byron Kokalanis GRE.

In the second race of the day for the RS:X it was a win for the German, Toni Wilhelm. Second Dorian Van Rijsselberge NED and third Nick Dempsey GBR. This keeps the Dutchman in the lead with Dempsey and Wilhelm tied on points in second after eight races.

Men's 470
First race today, Race 5 won by the Australian's Mathew Belcher and Malcolm Page. Second Gideon Kliger and Eran Sela ISR and third Luke Patience and Stuart Bithell GBR.

Race 6 and the Aussie pair take a second win today, so first Mathew Belcher and Malcolm Page, second Pierre Leboucher and Vincent Garos FRA and third Paul Snow-Hansen and Jason Saunders NZL and fourth Luke Patience and Stuart Bithell GBR.

Women's 470
Camille Lecointre and Mathilde Geron of France win race 3. Second Jo Aleh and Olivia Powrie NZL, 3rd Elise Rechichi and Belinda Stowell AUS, 4th Hannah Mills
Saskia Clark GBR.

470 Race 4, first were Fernanda Oliveira and Ana Luiza Barbachan of Brazil, second Giulia Conti and Giovanna Micol ITA, third María Fernanda Sesto and Consuelo Monsegur ARG. The British pair Mills and Clark finished sixth and are second overall two points behind Jo Aleh and Olivia Powrie of New Zealand.
