Percy and Simpson take a slim lead into the second half of the Star event at the Olympic Sailing at Weymouth and Portland on Thursday. The defnding champions are leading the Star event by four points from world champions Robert Scheidt and Bruno Prada of Brazil. In third place are Fredrik Loof and Max Salminen of Sweden.These three crews have a 12 point buffer back to fourth placed Eivind Melleby and Petter Morland Pedersen of Norway, but in this highly competitive class, with so many top international sailors competing this can quickly change. There are four more races to be sailed and then the top ten ranked crews will take part in the final Medal Race on the spectator Nothe course on Sunday.
