Melges 32 World League - Victory for Mascalzone Latino

 
One final race gave Vincenzo Onorato a big kick start to the 2018 season, taking victory at the opening act of the 2018 Melges 32 World League in Forio d'Ischia, Italy.Mascalzone Latino -

Vincenzo Onorato and his tactician Paul Goodison, with crew members Stefano Ciampalini, Flavio Favini, Lorenzo de Felice, Daniele Fiaschi, Filippo la Mantia, Matteo Savelli and Davide Scarpe are 2018 Melges 32 World League Forio d'Ischia Champions.

Finishing firm in second and third respectively was Matteo Balestrero's GIOGI with Branko Brcin on tactics, and Fritz Homann's WILMA and tactician Nico Celon.

Fourth overall, Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio at the helm of G.SPOT with tactician Michele Ivaldi finished the final race of the event in second place giving him a bump up in the standings.

Taking the 2018 Corinthian Melges 32 World League crown was Forio d'Ischia Champ Kilian Holzapfel's HOMANIT.

Together with his tactician Jolbert Van Dik and crew members Nikolaus Beulke, Albert Johannes Buitenhuis, Jeroen Hameter, Robin Jacobs, Maximilian Stein and Filippo Togni.
