After a long wait, the SW wind finally arrived in the bay of Palamós at around 14.00 hrs. British sailor Elliot Hanson took the lead in the Laser series at the GAES Palamós Christmas Race, with Norwegian sailor Mathias Mollart in second and Jonasz Stelmaszy of Poland third. And Alison Young has the lead in the women's Radial, ahead of Riou Amélie of France and De Kerangat also of France.
Not such a good day for Amy Seabright and Eilidh Mcintyre who drop to fourth. Lara Vadlan and Jolanta Ogar of Austria now lead, with Joanna Freeman and Katie Tomsett in second.
Andrew Mills remains in third in the Finn event where Alex Muscat of Spain has a comfortable lead from Andrii Gusenko of the Ukraine.
French pair Julie D’Ortolli and Noé Delpech continue to lead the 49er followed by two teams with equal points on second and third place overall, Polish team Lukas Pzybutek y Pawel Kolodzinki and Spanish sailors Diego Botin and Yago López. Britain's James Peters and Ed Fitzgerald move back to fifth after dropping the BFD. Nic Asher and Fynn Sterritt are seventh and Tim Gratton and Chris Taylor 11th.
Absolute dominance by the French in the 470 men standings, Guillaume Piroulle and Valentin Sipan are the new leaders, Gabriel Skoczek and Achille Nebout second and Kevin Pepponet and Julien Lebrun in third place.
