Day one in Palamos saw clouds and no wind first thing in the morning but the firsr races started around 12.00h and right now classes keep sailing in SW wind, 6 to 7 knots. Light winds on a cloudy first day of the GAES Palamós Christmas Race.
Alison Young of Team GBR has taken the lead in the women's Radial event, two points ahead of Celine Therese of Norway, with Gadel Alizée of France in third. Chloe Martin is fifth and Georgina Povall eighth.

In the women's 470 Amy Seabright and Eilidh Mcintyre won their second race and are in third overall and Joanna Freeman and Katie Tomsett fifth after two races. The leader is Agnieszca Skrzypulec of Poland. Peponnet Kevin and Lebrun Julien of France won the first two men's 470 races. Britain's Mike Wood and Hugh Brayshaw are fifth.
Nic Asher and Fynn Sterritt won the first 49er race but a 15th in race 2 dropped them to sixth overall. James Peters and Ed Fitzgerald were 20th in race 1 but recovered in race 2 to take third and are 11th overall. Leader is Julien D Ortoli and Delpech Noé of France.
In the women's 49er FX, Ida Marie Baad and Marie Thusgaard of Denmark have a one point lead from Johanna Sommarlund and Sofie Düring of Sweden after three races. María Cantero and Ana Hernandez of Spain are third.
Jonasz Stelmaszyk of Poland leads the Laser event after three races, Mathias Mollatt of Norway is second and Piasecki Piasecki, Poland, third. Best placed GBR is Elliot Hanson, who won race 2 and is in sixth overall.
Harry George, GBR, is in third in the Finn after two races. Alex Muscat of Spain leads after a 1, 2, and Andrii Gusenko of the Ukraine is in second. Andrew Mills finished the day in 15th after an OCS in the first race, he was third in the second race.
