Britain's Joe Bennett and Saskia Sills took gold at the the Eurosaf Youth Sailing, European Championship in Denmark on Friday. Bennett won the Boys Sailboard and Saskia the Girls. There was more success for GBR sailors with Noelle Finch taking silver in the girls boards and Martin Kieran bronze in the boys. And in the boys Laser Radial Michael Beckett won silver
The event finished with the Eurosaf version of medal races as used in Olympic competition. This is the first time that medal races have been used at a youth championship and the reaction of the coaches and sailors was generally very positive. We now look forward to being in Tavira, Portugal from 3 to 10 August, 2013.
