Britain's Olympic silver medal-winning windsurfer Nick Dempsey today etched his name into the history books by becoming the first man ever to win two RS:X Windsurfing World Championship titles. And a double celebration for Skandia Team GBR, with Bryony Shaw claiming silver in the women’s fleet – her first ever podium finish at an RS:X World Championship. Lee-El Korsiz of Israel took the women's World title.

Inspite of winning the Medal Race, Olympic Champion Dorian Van Rijsselberge of the Netherlands had to accept silver. The Bronze Medal went to Byron Kokkalanis of Greece.
In the women's championship, Lee El-Korsitz ISR had claimed her third title in a row before the Medal Race. The Bronze went to Mayaan Davidovich Israel.
Tom Squires finished fourth in the U21 event, 31 overall. Elliot Carney finished 18 overall winning the final race. Izzy Hamilton finished 15 in the women's event with a best finish of second in the final race. Claudia Carney finished 31 overall.
