Kiteboarding World Championships - Day 2

Day 2 of racing for the Kiteboarding Youth and Master World Championships at Cagliari, Sardinia and Tomek Janiak of Poland continued to dominate the Masters, while in the Youth event, Maxime Nocher of France took the lead from Maks Zakowski of Poland. Two more races were completed for both series. Both Janiak and Nocher won their flight races, with Adam Vance and Wilson Veloso also taking flight wins in the Masters.

The event, organized by the Yacht Club Cagliari, had to wait until 1 pm to give a start for the day because of the wind switch.

After repositioning the course, the start was now very close to the beach, then the up-wind leg toward the ‘Sella del diavolo’ and the superfast arrival on a broadreach parallel to the beach.

Very exciting for the spectators.

Two consecutives races with medium wind (15-18 knots) were run in all the fleets, bringing the total to six.
