Following the first meeting of the America’s Cup Review Committee on Thursday in San Francisco, teams have been asked to suspend all sailing in AC72 and AC45 catamarans until the middle of next week.
The Review Committee is scheduled to meet with the teams for the first time on Friday morning.
The owner of the Italian team competing in the America's Cup, Patrizio Bertelli, will arrive in San Francisco Friday, days after expressing concern about the safety of this summer's race.
Bertelli has no plans to pull out of the race and will leave that decision to his team, the Luna Rossa Challenge 2013, spokesman Francesco Longanesi Cattani said. "He is not coming here to decide whether to compete. It's to follow the developments."
